The Peshtigo
River is a free flowing whitewater
river that rises quickly when the rain or melt water hits it.
It goes up fast, and can come down fast. Sometimes a few days
can make the difference between great whitewater rafting and
just unbelievable whitewater rafting. If you catch it just right,
it is in my opinion, some of the best whitewater rafting in the
USA. Here is a chance to catch northern Wisconsin whitewater
rafting at its best on the Peshtigo River. All you need to do is visit this
page on Kosir's
web site, where you get updated several times a week by the guys
that run the river.
I offer a second opinion early and late week on Silvercliff.com and usually add some
great whitewater rafting pictures too. |
If the Peshtigo River comes
up to 12" on the old bridge gauge and seems like it will
stay there for a day or two, we will post a high water alert.
The river can be unpredictable, so we can't promise how high
the water will get or how long it will stay at higher levels.
We will do our best to be accurate, but please use this page
at your own risk.
Thank you and
see you on the river!

Note** Due
to people having to use spam filters on their e-mail, we have
decided to go to a regularly updated web page instead of an e-mailing.
Whitewater rafting is an assumed
risk sport that should only be attempted by properly equipped
and trained people. Please consult an outfitter or other whitewater
professional before attempting to navigate challenging waters.
Thank you! |
